Kaia Handroll Las Vegas

Kaia Handroll to Open at AREA15

Mid-June, AREA15 welcomes its newest eatery, Kaia Handroll. The new Las Vegas dining destination, helmed by Nevada native Executive Chef Chris Garcia, will be a modern take on sushi handrolls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors and techniques.

Kaia Handroll–“Kaia” meaning “of the sea”–will dish up delicious handroll selections and chef pairings. Some of Executive Chef Chris Garcia’s specialties will include lobster truffle, blue crab and bluefin tuna, as well as classic and vegetarian options.

Guests of Kaia Handroll can look forward to savoring seasonal sashimi varieties and starters, like the Japanese Caesar salad with furikake-parm crisp. For dessert, dig into several different varieties of mochi and Japanese cheesecake with passionfruit caramel. The Vegas eatery will also offer select to-go items, including chirashi bowls with rice, fish and vegetables for those wishing to dine at home or within their hotel room.

To wash it all down, Kaia Handroll’s libations will span Japanese classics, like hot green tea and sake, as well as Japanese beer and whiskey.

The intimate restaurant will include countertop bar seating and water-inspired décor, as well as AI-generated artwork showcasing powerful female characters.

Kaia Handroll will join AREA15’s extensive and unique dining options, including The Beast by Todd English, Lumin Café by Elizabeth Blau inside Illuminarium, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at Lost Spirits Distillery, Datamosh inside Omega Mart, LIFTOFF Bar & Ride and Oddwood Bar, Dream Weaver Milk & Boba Bar and Rocket Fizz candy shoppe.
