Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge at Town Square Las Vegas is now offering brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch can be enjoyed inside the restaurant or on the heated and shaded patio. Guests can choose from bottomless mimosas with a variety of juices, Bloody Marys, red sangria or rosé. Diners can even mix and match between the cocktails, so if you need that one Bloody Mary to wake yourself up, but prefer sangrias for the rest of your meal, that’s no problem. Bottomless cocktails are available for $24.99.
Executive Chef Doug Vega has built a mix of traditional brunch favorites and unique dishes for any appetite. If you are in a group of four or more, the Ultimate Brunch Platter provides a sampling of some of the best brunch dishes. The UBP is served on a 3-ft. board and the sight alone brings “ooh”s and “ahh”s before the crew even digs in. Guests can choose from one of three Benedicts – salmon, short rib or caprese. The Caprese Benedict is a savory twist on the traditional “Benny.” Two perfectly poached eggs sit atop two hash brown cakes. Marinated tomatoes and mozzarella cheese provide the classic caprese combination, a drizzle of balsamic and a liberal topping of rich hollandaise sauce complete the dish. Next is the deep-dish pancake. The deep-dish pancake is opposed to the savory benedict to such a degree that it adds a layer of enjoyment to the UBP. Chef Vega and his team show a deft touch with the delicate sweetness of the pancake. It is served with whipped cream, a mixed berry sauce and maple syrup. Generous servings of smoked bacon, fresh fruit and crispy potatoes complete the board.
Other menu highlights for brunch include the bacon, egg and cheddar burger; a chorizo and egg skillet; and lobster tacos. The full bar menu is available, providing over 60 wines and 300 whiskey options in addition to the bottomless selections.
Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge is open 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Friday; 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Happy hour is available seven days a week 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
