The 1923 Prohibition Bar announces its second location on the Las Vegas Strip inside The Venetian Resort at the Grand Canal Shoppes. The new location, set to open in mid-2024, offers exclusive private bookings throughout the week and live performances on the weekends.
Located above Minus5 ICEBAR, the private speakeasy will have a stage for live performances, views overlooking the iconic Grand Canal and a top-secret hidden-chamber magic show. With full AV capabilities, branding and catering services, the space can accommodate groups of up to 500 people for private and corporate events such as cocktail parties, banquets and even private whiskey tastings.
“The motivation to open a second 1923 Prohibition Bar is to fulfill the demand for unique, expansive private event spaces on the Las Vegas Strip as well as create a home for interactive and intimate live performances, which seem to be disappearing from the Strip with all of the large mega-star residencies,” says Noel Bowman, owner of 1923 Prohibition Bar, in a recent press release. “I’d really like to keep the small lounge-act era alive, and our location is truly a hidden gem that will satisfy that need for exclusive, underground entertainment experiences as well as thrill private event planners and attendees with the expansive space.”
Available exclusively to those with special instructions, the 1923 Prohibition Bar will be adorned with 20’s-inspired decor. The bar aims to revive the era of small lounge acts, offering an intimate and interactive experience distinct from the residencies dominating the Strip’s entertainment options. The new opening will join the bar’s first location at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
