Hometown: Eugene, Oregon…Go Ducks!

First job: I was thrown into the fire as a bar-back at Next Nightclub in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. Nothing could prepare you for that job!

Favorite ways to spend your free time in NV: Family time is most important, from racing between youth sports games and practices to family activities is where I prefer to spend my free time. I also enjoy getting my money’s worth out on the golf course and exploring new places in Sin City with my wife.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment thus far has been keeping three small humans, two dogs, three fish and an abundance of plants alive. As well as, designing, opening, owning and operating a locally sourced restaurant with my wife in Oregon.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: “And the haters will hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.” Fortunately, I don’t have too many haters (that I can remember) but my true biggest obstacle is self-manifesting and doing/being better today than I was yesterday.

Someone who inspires you and why: I have many close peers, friends, family and mentors that have inspired and helped me create this well-balanced cocktail called life. Teaching me that every ingredient (life moment) matters and deserves thought and attention, but a harmonious mixture (life experiences, good or
bad) is needed to make it great and as soon as you think you got it, palates change. Enjoy the process, don’t take things too seriously and don’t be afraid to get it wrong because even a bad cocktail is worth drinking.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Be positive, punctual, humble and kind. Push yourself to continuously learn more or something new, as there are many things to be passionate about. Don’t get too comfortable and think outside the box, there are many ways to produce success.

Favorite quote: “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.” – Winston S. Churchill

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I was surprised to learn that, ironically, my two Dobermans, Bebop and Rocksteady, are not
nearly as tough or scary as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle villains they are named after.

What makes someone fabulous: Someone is fabulous to me when they have stand-up integrity, a sense of humor, desire to learn and grow, thoughtfulness of others and, of course, what type of whiskey they serve me out of their liquor cabinet
