Cannabis-Friendly The Lexi Hotel Opens in Las Vegas

When it comes to Las Vegas accommodations, bigger isn’t always better. In a city where sprawling mega-resorts boast thousands of rooms; massive pool complexes; dozens of dining, shopping and entertainment options; and, of course, never-ending casinos, Sin City’s newest must-stay destination, The Lexi, is an intimate boutique hotel — with a 420 twist.

Making its debut in early June, The Lexi Las Vegas offers visitors a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience. The 64-room, kid-free lodging, located about one mile west of the north end of the Strip, is chic and sexy. It’s also cannabis inclusive.

“Las Vegas is a city unlike any other, and we’re thrilled to be part of it,” says Alex Rizk, CEO of Elevations Hotels and Resort, which owns the property, in a press release announcing the hotel’s opening. “Our team is committed to providing world-class hospitality to all guests, while also making history as the first cannabis-friendly hotel in Las Vegas.”

In 2022, Elevations purchased the former Artisan, a hedonistic adults-only hotel with a topless swimming pool and after-hours nightclub that kept the party going until the sun came up. A multimillion-dollar renovation transformed the property into a modern, urban destination.

In addition to offering newly designed guest rooms and suites, many with wet bars and walk-in showers — “perfect for one, two or even a party of more,” the hotel notes — The Lexi Las Vegas designates the entire fourth floor as cannabis-friendly. The rooms here are the only place on the property where guests can light up in peace.

Each room has a state-of-the-art RestorAir filtration system that removes any odors. Laminate flooring, murals instead of hanging art, wood shutters and open shelves also help eliminate any lingering odors. And freestanding vintage-style mini fridges provide plenty of space for munchie storage.

Additional upgrades on display at the new hotel include a Shangri-la-like entry; an expansive lobby that will offer live music and entertainment in the evenings; the Artisan Bar & Lounge, a steakhouse concept that pays homage to the hotel’s former identity; and the reimagined wedding chapel that’s now a private dining room. The renovation retained the original towering neoclassical indoor fountain in the lobby, and the revamped pool area remains an elegant, relaxing hangout and continues to allow European-style (topless) sunbathing and swimming.

The Lexi Las Vegas is the sister property of The Clarendon Hotel & Spa, which also is adults-only and consumption friendly. The Clarendon opened in Phoenix in Summer 2021. Room rates at The Lexi Las Vegas start at about $200 per night. Guests — and locals — also are invited to join Elevations Nations, a members-only hotel rewards system that offers access to a planned cannabis lounge (or the Elevations Lounge in Phoenix) as well as invitations to exclusive events and special deals with off-property retail partners.
