Many avoid the seemingly perilous doom of the ill-fated number 13. Some hotel elevators read 10, 11, 14, and superstitious people simply won’t get out of bed if the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. But the master of the entertainment universe, Spiegelworld, is not afraid. In fact, it is full-on embracing the double digits on April 10 to celebrate its 13th Anniverscary at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
As someone who enjoyed the past decade in Las Vegas as a tourist and a local, the one show which always took my breath away was Absinthe, which first opened its doors in April 2011.
Walking through the doors of an adults-only production Absinthe at Caesars Palace–which takes place Sunday to Thursday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.–is stepping into the paint strokes of a Salvador Dali or Max Ernst painting. Time stops in the most enchanting way. Puffs of liquid absinthe magically come to life in swirling visions of daredevil feats that defy laws of gravity, fantastical music and the charming yet raunchy star of the show, the Gazillionaire.
To celebrate Absinthe’s 13th anniversary, Spiegelworld hosts a special Anniverscary event on April 10. To fully complement your Absinthe experience, visit the Green Fairy Garden, open 4 p.m. to late, for a sip or two.
