Hometown: My hometown for the first 11 years of my life was Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

First job: The first job I had was when I attended college at Arizona State University. It was for a restaurant named Coco’s.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in NV: I love photography and spending time outdoors. There is something about getting that shot that you always wanted.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: By far my biggest accomplishment are my children. I have four children, and they are all such good kids!

The biggest obstacle you overcame: The most challenging obstacle was raising my children as a single mom. I was very lucky to have an incredible mom who always cheered me on!

Someone who inspires you and why: My mother was my inspiration in my life. She allowed me to make many mistakes while constantly believing in me and supporting my journey. She was full of grace and the kindest person I have ever known. I would not be who I am without her!

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Advice is a hard one. As it sounds cliché, do your due diligence. The flower business is hard work and very impacted by the price of flowers. When you count on perishable items to make money, you must know how to prepare, process and maintain them. Make sure you research your state and city permits and that you have a thorough understanding of what they entail. For example in Reno, we have to be invited by a business in order to park the truck there. We cannot park on a city street or park street … and you have to move the truck every four hours. A lot of work is required in getting a permit in your city as they do not know what to call us. Flower trucks are not sidewalk vendors or food trucks, and it takes some time for your city to find a slot to put you in. But with that being said, you will never have happier customers than the customers at a flower truck. They touch your heart!

Favorite quote: “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.” –Dr. Seuss

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am crazy about football. If I could choose my profession over again, I would love to be a sports broadcaster.

What makes someone fabulous: What makes someone fabulous is different in all people. Being positive even when it seems impossible and being a good listener. Making a difference in someone’s day that they will never forget. Paying it forward.
