Participate in the celebration of Mark Twain, one of Nevada’s most prolific, humorous and insightful writers, from April 21 to 23 in Downtown Carson City, and learn more about his work and how he contributed to defining Carson City.
Mark Twain’s stay in Nevada was swift and furious, yet it left a clear mark. Twain and the region were transformed by his revolutionary ways. To continue with what Mark Twain adored most about Nevada—the people, the thrill, and the spirit of the West—Mark Twain Days will make its home in Downtown Carson City for a 3-day celebration.
Guests can look forward to art, music, treasure hunts, costume contests, the Twain “Cocktail” Train, and so much more throughout the weekend. But be sure to stop by Mark Twain Days on Friday, Apr. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. for a VIP Cocktail Rail Excursion better known as the Twain Train. This immersive cocktail experience will come complete with a classic train trip with specialty drinks and Twain stories from costumed performers.
