If you’re looking for some otherworldly outdoor adventure, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Boulder City’s Gold Strike Hot Springs during a Nevada spring break. Situated about an hour from the Las Vegas Strip, the winding trail promises a 600-ft. descent into one of the state’s most scenic canyon spots—with the guarantee of beautiful, natural hot springs at the end of their backpacking adventure. Visitors can access the trailhead off of Highway 93, which begins just before the Hoover Dam Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Along the way on their big hiking excursion, visitors will get to venture deep into Gold Strike Canyon and through to the mighty Colorado River.
