The Clark County School District and Green Our Planet are coming together to teach healthy eating and gardening to local students and more! This event, taking place Friday, April 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open to the public, with produce grown and harvested by 600 student farmers from 60 schools across Las Vegas available for purchase. Green Our Planet, the local nonprofit that helps schools valley-wide to aid in teaching gardens, is actively assisting schools in Summerlin with their gardens, including “pollinator gardens.” Bee sure to stop by Downtown Summerlin’s very own pollinator garden to see bees, ladybugs, butterflies and more! 21st Annual Tour De Summerlin

This Earth Day 2023, the 21st annual Tour de Summerlin returns–hosting cyclists of all ages and abilities. This event, with the start and finish line found in Downtown Summerlin, is expected to have over 500 participants who are able to choose from 20-mile, 40-mile and 80-mile rides. The event benefits Breakaway Cycling, a nonprofit that promotes cycling and provides bike safety education to children through a partnership with Clark County School District. Tour de Summerlin is the perfect event for athletes, cyclists, go-getters or even those looking to head outside and enjoy the idyllic scenery of Nevada’s Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
