Hometown: Born in Reno and moved to Las Vegas in 1982.

First job: Working for my father in his insurance brokerage firm at the age of 14.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in NV: My free time is spent working out with my friends here in Las Vegas and, in the summer, traveling to Lake Tahoe and enjoying the lake with family and friends.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest and most prideful accomplishment is raising three wonderful human beings who have become productive tax-paying citizens.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Being so very hard on myself, comparing myself to others.

Someone who inspires you and why: I have surrounded myself by incredible people. Some have an incredible ability to inspire, others have an insurmountable amount of gratitude, another is motivated to always do better, most are open-minded and others passionate. These traits in my close friends inspire me daily and are nurturing to my soul.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Learn, get professional criticism and learn from it. It is not easy and most don’t engage because of that, but do it! Also, join the professional association of your profession. Remember to always have fun while doing so, don’t take it too seriously. Join as many photographic competitions as you can, as you learn so much from that!

Favorite quote: “Be curious, not judgmental.” –Walt Whitman

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am a huge introvert and love to be alone. A lot.

What makes someone fabulous: Genuine, solid, true.
