All Aboard! The Polar Express train journey offered by Virginia & Truckee Railway Railway in Carson City lets you experience the classic holiday tale’s charm in real life. Visit the Carson City Eastgate Depot to get on the first ride of the season on Thursday, Nov. 17.
On the trip to the North Pole, riders are invited to participate in caroling and a reading of the well-known Christmas story while dressing in their coziest pajamas. Before Santa and his elves board the train and present each passenger with an iconic silver sleigh bell, you’ll be given free hot chocolate and a festive dessert. Guests can enjoy the delightful voyage in the comfort of plush seats with picturesque window views on the fully restored 1907 luxury Ardelle Mae. This hour-long VIP night train journey comes with a souvenir ceramic Polar Express mug.
