Chinese New Year in the Desert

January 26 @ 8:00 am - January 28 @ 5:00 pm

NV_Lunar_New_Year_Parade

The most significant Chinese festival, Chinese New Year, is becoming increasingly well known across the globe. This year, in order to celebrate the lunar new year and the year of the rabbit, Golden Catalyst will be hosting the 12th Annual Chinese New Year in the Desert on the weekend of January 26–28.

First, there will be a kick-off and ribbon-cutting ceremony at St. Mark’s Square at the Venetian Resort on Thursday, Jan. 26 at noon. From there, guests can enjoy an elaborate feast at the X Pot immediately after the ceremony. Then, later in the evening, guests can also take part in a traditional 9-course family-style Chinese dinner at Rainbow Garden for an even more authentic experience.

And if you can’t make it to the first night of activities, there’s no need to worry. On Friday, Jan. 27, there will also be an evening traditional all-you-can-eat family style Korean dinner at Goong Korean BBQ Las Vegas. In addition, on Saturday, Jan. 28, there will be a Lunar New Year parade at Fremont East Entertainment District to serve as a finale to the Chinese New Year in the Desert.

The Lunar New Year parade and the ribbon cutting ceremony are free to attend. Ticketed events range in price depending on the packages purchased.
