A Night at the Moulin Rouge
February 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$55
The Black History Month presentation, “A Night at the Moulin Rouge: Celebrating the Iconic Las Vegas Resort Through Memories and Music,” will be presented by the Mob Museum in collaboration with the Harrison House on Thursday, February 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Museum Courtroom.
This performance will be a stirring and exciting musical tribute that will make you want to spend the night in the Moulin Rouge lounge. Actor, director, and producer Allen Craig Harris will serve as the emcee for the tribute, which will also include performances by local musicians Ken Seifert on bass, Greg Brown on drums, and Woody Woods on piano, as well as singers Paris Red and Leon Gilliam.
In addition, the director of public programming of The Mob Museum, Shakala Alvaranga, will chair a panel discussion as part of the presentation. The panel will feature speakers including Katherine Duncan, the founder and president of the Las Vegas Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce, and Anna Bailey, the first Black woman to work as a dancer on the Las Vegas Strip and a major influence in creating business opportunities. And the late Sammy Davis Jr.’s adopted son and executor of his estate, Manny Davis, will also offer his thoughts on his father’s profession, personal life and Las Vegas experiences.
Tickets are available for $55 per person.
